Introduction.The Scepter® Expansion and Contraction calculator, the Scepter® Support Spacing calculator and the Scepter® Quick Tools (the “Applications”) are subject to the following Terms of Use (the “Terms”) which set forth the legally binding terms for your use of any of these Applications. A policy of ongoing product improvement is maintained. This may result in modifications of features and/or specifications without notice.
2. Your consent. By using any of these Applications, you agree to these Terms. Please read these Terms carefully and do not use any of these Applications if you do not agree to them.
3. Warning – Limitation. The Applications contain tools intended to be used by trained professionals only and are not a substitute for your professional judgment or independent testing, calculation, estimation and/or other activities. The Scepter® Expansion and Contraction calculator is intended only to assist you in calculating the incorporation of Expansion Joints to accommodate for Expansion and Contraction movement. The Scepter® Support Spacing Calculator is intended to assist you in determining the maximum allowable support spacing for runs of conduit, per the National Electrical Code (NEC). The Scepter® Quick Tools are intended to help you find specific conduit dimensions and weights, and to provide a quick reference for NEMA type designations and standards. Data presented in the Applications is the result of laboratory tests and field experience. The Applications have not been tested in all situations under which they may be used.
4. Disclaimer and exclusion of liability. You acknowledge and agree that the Applications are provided on an “as is” basis. We make, and you receive, no warranties, representations, or conditions of any kind, express or implied, with respect to the Applications. IN NO EVENT, will we have any liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages for all matters arising out of or related to the Applications. The exclusion of liability will apply to any damages or other liability, however caused and whether in contract, tort (including without limitation, negligence) or otherwise, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such liability.
