Q – Tell us about the impact the program had on your career.
The NGDP significantly impacted my career by providing me with an understanding of various departments within IPEX. This experience allowed me to develop cross-functional skills, which has been vital in my role as a Project Leader in the Innovation department.
Q – What did you appreciate the most in the program?
During the program, I really appreciated the mentorship and guidance from my co-workers and managers. The support was invaluable as it provided me with insight into the workforce, especially as a new graduate from school. The opportunity to build relationships across the organization, experience different management styles and learn about the core of our business was extremely helpful in shaping my future career aspirations.
Q – How has the program helped you to achieve your goals?
The program played a crucial role in helping me achieve my professional goals by offering a clear and structured pathway for my career development. Through the different rotations I was able to learn about my strengths, weaknesses and areas of interest, and this helped me set realistic career goals for myself. The diverse projects and tasks challenged me to use many of the skills I learned from school and apply them to real-world scenarios. The continuous feedback and evaluations also ensured that I stayed on track and understood what I needed to work on.
Q – Why would you recommend new graduates to apply?
I would recommend the program to new graduates because it offers a unique opportunity to start your career with a solid foundation. The program offers exposure to different areas of the company, which helps new graduates develop a well-rounded skill set and opens doors to many career opportunities within IPEX.
Q – If you were to summarize the program in one sentence, what would it be?
The NGDP is an amazing journey that helps recent graduates with the essential skills, experience, and professional network to begin a successful and fulfilling career.
