Q – Why did you decide to join IPEX and become an NGDP?
My interest in IPEX was initially sparked by my passion for the water industry. Growing up, my mother was involved in water management, and her dedication to ensuring water accessibility in underdeveloped areas of our home country instilled in me a deep appreciation for this meaningful cause, as well as a desire to contribute to it. Additionally, the NGDP’s appeal was undeniable because of the mentorship it provides and the rotational placements. As a recent university graduate in Commerce, I was eager to develop and explore my interests by gaining experience across various departments.
Q – What are the unique experiences the program allowed you to have?
The program has provided me with unique experiences across Operations, Innovation and Finance. Specifically, it gave me opportunities to collaborate with cross-functional teams and enhance my professional network and offered valuable learning experiences from my colleagues. This exposure has enriched my understanding of the business from multiple perspectives, enhancing both my technical and interpersonal skills. The program has also empowered me to chart my career path with a more focused and strategic approach.
Q – What do you like the most about the program?
What I appreciate most about the program is its genuine investment in my personal career development. The program, along with my managers, are committed to nurturing my professional growth. They demonstrate this by considering my career aspirations and the skills I aim to gain, providing consistent support regarding both. Additionally, the ability to rotate through different departments has enabled me to collaborate and build relationships with a diverse range of individuals. These are all aspects of the program I find the most rewarding.
